Digitalize the process of finding a lawyer
Advokatguiden (The Lawyer Guide) aimed to address a major pain point in how people search for legal professionals. Traditionally, individuals seeking legal help relied on personal referrals, a method that often limited their options to a small circle of known lawyers. This approach lacked transparency, offering little insight into the lawyer’s specialization, reputation, or previous client experiences. Advokatguiden set out to solve this by creating a platform where users could quickly and easily find a lawyer based on their needs, location, and public feedback.
The solution
Designing a modular, scalable architecture for global expansion
At the outset of the project, we first defined the core goals of the platform, which were centered around what Advokatguiden needed to achieve. The platform needed to provide an accessible and transparent solution for users to easily find and connect with legal professionals. This included developing a comprehensive lawyer directory with advanced search and filtering capabilities that allowed users to browse lawyers based on location, expertise, and client ratings. Additionally, the platform required a trustworthy review system to ensure transparency, scalability to handle future growth, mobile optimization for users on the go, and robust security measures to protect sensitive data.
We developed the platform’s API using Laravel for the backend, which provided a solid foundation for handling complex data relationships, user authentication, and security features. On the frontend, we used Nuxt.js, which allowed us to create a dynamic user interface with server-side rendering (SSR). SSR was a critical feature for optimizing the platform’s performance and improving its SEO visibility, ensuring that Advokatguiden ranked well on search engines and provided a smooth experience across all devices.
To support the platform’s need for international scalability and to handle multiple countries on the same infrastructure, we deployed the entire system on a Kubernetes cluster. This approach allowed us to manage containers efficiently, ensuring that the platform could scale automatically based on traffic demands while maintaining high availability and fault tolerance. By leveraging Kubernetes, we ensured that the infrastructure was both robust and flexible, capable of supporting the platform as it expanded to serve multiple markets with localized content, all within a single infrastructure setup.
