The challenge

Picking up where it left off

Beformance is a personalized weight-loss mobile application designed to offer users a comprehensive, goal-driven plan that combines tailored workout programs, healthy recipes, habit-building challenges, and well-being tips. Developed by certified nutrition specialists, the app aims to adapt to each user’s specific lifestyle, preferences, and fitness goals. However, the client sought assistance to pick up development, add new features, and enhance the backend infrastructure.

The solution

A user-centered approach to development

In order to get the Beformance project back on track, we employed a strategic and phased approach to resuming development.

We began by conducting a full audit of the existing codebase of each component. This process helped us map out undocumented parts of the code and understand the areas requiring optimization.
Once the audit was complete, a unified roadmap was created for both platforms, ensuring that any new feature or update would follow the same logic, design principles, and user flows across iOS and Android. This ensured the user experience remained consistent regardless of the operating system.
With the roadmap in place, we were able to resume Beformance’s development smoothly, focusing on enhancing existing features and adding new functionality.

The success

Through careful planning and execution, we were able to address the challenges of picking up the development of Beformance and enhancing the app’s frontend and backend. The new features were successfully integrated without compromising the user experience, and the backend infrastructure was scaled to meet the demands of a growing user base. As a result, Beformance is now more robust, user-friendly, and adaptable, allowing users to better achieve their fitness goals while the app can continue to grow and evolve in the future.
